I live in Harrogate, North Yorkshire with my husband, little boy Freddie (age 3) & little girl Willow (aged 1). Life to me is all about savoring the luxury of simplicity... walks in nature, days without plans, a bottle of prosecco with friends, making memories with the people I love, sitting by the fire to indulge in a new book or podcast (with chocolate), a candle lit meal, a weekend away in the countryside & truly loving where you are right now, just as much as you love the idea of where you're going. Oh & I'm obsessed with plants. Inside & outside. You can't ever have enough!
I've been on my own journey of healing & self discovery (we are all a work in progress!) to shed the conditioning of who I thought I needed to be to fit in, to rise above the fear of judgement, to manage anxiety & shame... & ultimately, to come back to my true authentic self, meeting myself with more acceptance & compassion. It's an ongoing journey! I'm very much human & on this journey too.
I am accredited & registered with over 15 years working in the Psychology field with people from all walks of life. I have worked in secure environments & in the community, including with young offenders, people engaging in significant risk taking behaviours, those who are addicted to drink/drugs & those who 'have it all' but still don't feel happy on the inside. I believe that self-awareness, compassion & dedication are at the core of positive change. They provide us with meaning, choices & the opportunity to heal, evolve & grow into the best version of ourselves.
